manifest press

it happens to me periodically that i will come across something i wrote that i forgot about writing and then it gives me some sort of joy. here’s a thing. i wrote it during my last quarter at evergreen in experiments in text, radical pedagogy. i must say that although i wrote this in one of david wolach’s classes it’s really a shout-out to kathleen eamon. and here is some of her writing.

the true thing about cats is that once they were kittens. in the movement of kitten to cat there is the moment of the dissolving of play into prey. the access granted by the passage of kitten to cat can only be explained as the true. the becoming of a cat is in the act of the we of kittens making the movement of the moment of the true.
